Business Development Manager (EU, remote, full-time)
Job purpose
You will work closely with internal scientific, operational, and proposal teams to develop fit‑for‑purpose solutions for clients, while maintaining an active pipeline of opportunities. The role is primarily EU‑focused, with some involvement in global opportunities as needed.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the EU pharmaceutical and biotech market.
- Conduct market and account research to support targeted outreach and opportunity development.
- Generate and qualify leads through prospecting, networking, and participation in industry events.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and prospective clients.
- Act as a key commercial contact during the pre‑award phase, supporting discussions on scope, timelines, and services.
- Support ongoing client engagement to encourage repeat business and long‑term collaboration.
- Coordinate inputs for RFPs, RFIs, and proposals in collaboration with internal experts.
- Contribute to proposal strategy, content development, and client presentations.
- Support commercial discussions and handover to delivery teams once opportunities are awarded.
- Maintain accurate opportunity tracking in the CRM system.
- Support sales reporting and pipeline reviews, including basic forecasting.
- Ensure timely follow‑up on active opportunities in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Represent P95 & Julius Clinical at scientific conferences, congresses, and client meetings.
- Strengthen P95’s and Julius Clinical visibility and reputation within the European clinical research and RWE community.
Experience - the ideal candidate will have
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Business or a related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in business development in a CRO.
- Experience supporting or leading sales of Real-World Evidence (RWE) services or clinical research.
- Familiarity with infectious diseases, vaccines, neurology or cardiometabolic research is an advantage.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Proven track record in generating RFPs, converting prospects, closing deals, and achieving sales targets.
- Pragmatic, energetic, self-motivated, and results-driven achiever.
- Detail-oriented with critical thinking and strong business acumen.
- Sensitive to cross-cultural differences and adaptable in diverse environments.
- Willingness to travel as required.
