Program Manager (remote)

Job purpose
A Program Manager is responsible for the operational aspects of a portfolio of scientific projects (or program), ensuring the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of all projects within the program. This role involves resource management, timeline tracking, risk mitigation, and effective communication across project teams.

This role would be a temporary 8-month position starting July/August 2024. The role could either be full time or part time (80% FTE minimum).

At the end of the contract, there could exist the possibility to move to a permanent role, subject to the requirements of the company at that time and performance of the candidate.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for the Program Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Strategic Program Planning:
  • Program Planning: Develop and adjust where needed the overall program plan, coordinating interdependencies across projects and work within the disease program.
  • Resource Management: Ensure effective allocation of resources (human resources, budgets, third party subcontractors, …), in line with the overall program’s goals and objectives.
2. Alignment, Collaboration & Communication:
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Closely work together with and support the individual project’s managers.
3. Program Tracking & Reporting:
  • Oversee timely and accurate client billing.
  • Measure and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including but not limited to adherence to timelines and budget.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and performance to the management team.
Experience - the ideal candidate will have
  • A Bachelor degree in a biomedical science, business administration or related field or equivalent by experience. Certification in Project Management is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct work experience in project management.
  • Experience in clinical research or real-world evidence generation is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent planning, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Be able to work pro-actively and independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization.
Experience - you must also have these skills
  • Good command of written and spoken professional English.
  • Can work independently (remotely) and yet be a team player.
  • Have a flexible approach to work.
  • Be a self-starter, well organised and with attention to detail while keeping a “getting the job done” mentality.
  • Be sensitive to cross-cultural differences.
